Generate Site Topics from Google Search Console

When you first sign up for Site Topic, you'll land on an empty reports view. You can generate a new report either by:

  • Using keywords from Google Search Console.
  • Using keywords uploaded from tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs.

This guide explains how to turn your Google Search Console data into entities, browse these and easily share them.

How to get topics out of Google Search Console

Click on the "generate report" button in the top right corner of Site Topic. If you haven't connected your Google Search Console account before, a prompt will appear to connect. Select the account to allow SiteTopic to access your Search Console data.

Once you've connected, cChoose the Search Console property from which to generate a report and then select the market. Normally it's simplest to start with your largest market.

Click on "Generate" to start the report generation process.

Report statuses

The report will initially show as Pending. Once it's running, it will show as Running. Once it's ready to view it will show as Succeeded and there will be a link to See Report. alt text

Generating more reports for other sites or markets

Once you've connected your GSC account to Site Topic, you can generate more reports for more sites or for other markets. Just hit the "Generate Report" button again. You'll see all the site to which your GSC account has access. Choose a new one, or choose the same, but choose a new market and click "Generate".

Report credits

Google Search Console Site Topic reports will run with the number of credits you have available. When you first sign up, you'll get 1,000 credits. You can use that for either a GSC report or for a report from uploaded keywords.

Sharing your Google Search Console topics

Once your report is generated, it will be available for viewing. You can share your report with colleagues or others by clicking on the "Public Access" toggle. That makes your report sharable with a link.
